Students in Kirkwood Community College's graphic communications, fashion and interior design programs have submitted some of their most memorable works for public display. The works are in the Iowa Hall Gallery through Feb. 19.

Complete floor plans made by the interior design students are exhibited. Samples of flooring, carpet, paint and the many details it takes to design a room are found on each student's plan. Laura Shuckmann-Gluck's floor plan for the Bottleworks urban lofts in downtown Cedar Rapids is displayed. Her work was selected as the winning entry from among the 21 Kirkwood student designs submitted for the project.

Portraits of the graphic design program students were made by using words to form their features. Other assignments include advertisements, compilations of pictures and designs for three-dimensional objects.

A layout of this year's Marc Jacobs fashion line was cut and pasted. The layout made by the fashion design students includes articles of clothing, patterns and styles that Jacobs unleashed in his spring 2010 line.

Use of color and design are shown through graphic communications students' works completed last year.

A reception for the show is scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 11.
