"Player versatility gives lots of options, which is awesome," stated head volleyball coach Jill Williams. This year, with 16 players, William said she is happy with what each player has to bring to the team.

The team returns five players from the 2007 season, with two Second Team All Regional members, Hanna Bruns and Tomomi Sakuri, along with Rachel Walker, Katie Johnson and Beth Ripperger to lead the Eagles in the 2008 season.

"We have a great atmosphere to work in and are looking to the ultimate goal. We work day' by' day to get to where we want to be," said setter Beth Ripperger.

"The sophomores have a positive impact letting us know that it is possible to make it all the way to nationals. The goals for the team and individual are set so we can take steps to reaching them," stated setter Ellie Farrier.

Starting her fourth season, Williams has conducted the Eagles pre-season practices since Aug. 4.

"The team will be very competitive this season," stated Williams. There are 28 dates that the Eagles will compete this season.

The opening match for the Eagles will be Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. against John Wood Community College at Johnson Hall with a tailgate event to start the night.
