The Kirkwood volleyball team's season came to an abrupt end last weekend when the Eagles were defeated by Des Moines Area Community College in four sets in the Region XI-B Tournament Championship in Boone. "I'm disappointed for the players," said Volleyball Coach Jill Williams.

Kirkwood's Office of Student Life is using Facebook to beef up interest in Eagles Nest, the official student cheering section at Kirkwood sporting events. "The way that you become an Eagles Nest member is by going online or by going to the Student Life office in Iowa Hall and sign up," said Seth Vander Tuig, Student Life coordinator.
