From April 25 to April 27, two teams represented the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at the 2008 Pontiac American Collegiate Intramural Sports (ACIS) Basketball Championships on the campus of North Carolina State in Raleigh, North Carolina. Both teams won their gender's respective regional tournament held at the REC, and represented UW-L at the national tournament.

Iowa State finished 44th nationally in the final winter standings of the Director's Cup, a measure of the total success of Division I athletic programs. To improve on that ranking, developing ISU sports programs will need to continue to grow next season. NO - Freeman took more bad shots than ex-Illini guard Dee Brown. So what if Todd Lickliter said it wasn't his fault he was the one getting the ball every time the shot clock wound down. That's a coach looking out for his players.
YES - For a team already losing its second leading scorer in graduating guard Justin Johnson, losing Freeman's team-best 13.8 per will create an even greater scoring void for a team that managed just 56.1 per game this year.
