One of the most troubling issues for students as they attend college is the money they will spend to attend. Tuition is something nearly all students and families worry about, even if our nation wasn't mired in an economic recession.
With recent tuition increases occurring at several UW system schools, paying for school is becoming increasingly difficult for students in Wisconsin.

If the name Joel Tenenbaum doesn't ring a bell, it's because the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) doesn't want you to know about him. Tenenbaum's the Boston University grad student who was sued by the RIAA in court for illegally downloading 30 songs ranging from Green Day to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Dear Editor,
The Feb. 24 College Days "Showdown" opinion article was admirable for seeking to tackle an issue as divisive as abortion, but after reading it I felt that neither columnist had come close to dealing with the real difficulty at its core. This issue has deep and lasting effects on many lives; let's give it the thought it deserves.

At last, the stress reliever we have all been waiting for has arrived. It's spring break time for Minnesota State and students can finally put their books and laptops to the way side for a week of indulgence.
Some will travel to the warmer regions of the world, while others might simply choose to stay and chill in Minnesota.

Paying respects to track and field, cross country I realize there are a lot of Minnesota State sports to cover in February/March but when there's an MSU team that wins a conference I think they deserve coverage from the Reporter. As an MSU Track and Field/ Cross Country alumni I am frustrated that the Reporter isn't giving the MSU Track and Field teams the recognition they deserve for the outstanding seasons they have had.

This week I am picking a fight with the American Family Association (AFA). I formally invite the entire non-profit organization of AFA (2,486,971 strong) to find me any time, any place - because I am ready to rumble.
A story released by the Huffington Post on March 3 revealed that the AFA has some beef with the killer whale Tilly who recently ate her SeaWorld trainer in Orlando.

What the world needs now is love sweet love. Barry Manilow said it best almost half a century ago, and it still rings true today.
I can't count how many times in my life I have seen someone being judged, injured, or persecuted for the most innocent crime of being the person they are.
