The first meeting of the 42nd annual Student Government Association was held on Tuesday, Sept. 7 in the University Union Capitol Room.

The Student Government Association gives students the opportunity to have an organized student government to better students, faculty, and staff at Western Illinois University so that students can make sure they have everything they need.

Activities Fair flashes spotlight on WIU's clubs

The University Union Grand Ballroom buzzed with a swarm of people Wednesday as Western held its bi-annual activities fair.

The event lasted from 3-5 p.m. and helped to showcase all of the organizations, activities, and clubs Western has to offer.

The fair attracted more than 150 student organizations including fraternities and sororities, athletic clubs, volunteer organizations and academic committees.

After getting a job in the admissions office, Dwyer has left the positions he has held since 2008 as ScoMer hall director, among other duties.

Clogged toilets, flooding, and the occasional fixture falling off the wall; this was the image painted in many minds during fall of 2009 as news spread like wildfire throughout campus that Phi Kappa Pi's home, the Merriman House, may have no longer been suitable for living.
